The harshness and isolation of Athas has produced different, vicious weapons over the millenia. Below a few are detailed:
The Sirqe
Cost: 2.5cp
Weight: 5lb
Size: S
Type: S
Speed Factor: 4
Damage:
S-M: 1d6
L: 1d4
Description: This weapon is closely related to the impaler. It is usually worn in pairs. Each Sirqe fits onto one of the user's arms, fitted on by leather bindings. It's edge is a sharp serrated bone blade, extending from the user's shoulder down to their hand. It is a wicked blade, as 10% of the time its serrated edge catchs in the victim's bone and does an extra 1d4 damage.
The Ferr'a
Cost: 10cp
Weight: 8lb
Size: M
Type: P/S
Speed Factor: 6
Damage:
S-M: 1d6
L: 1d6
Description: This weapon appears ridiculously proportioned, a long spear head on a comparatively short pole. However, when used by a skilled user it can be quite effective. Its long spear head is sharp not only on its point, but also on its sides, making it a excellent weapon to surprise and enemy with a sudden slash. If the user has being using the weapon only in a spear like tactic, they may suddenly change to slashing and on their first attack against that opponent, and assuming the opponent has never seen such a weapon being used for slashing, the user gains a +4 to hit.
The Drea
Cost: 2cp
Weight: 1lb
Size: S
Type: S
Speed Factor: 1
Damage:
S-M: 1d3
L: 1d2
Description: This is a tiny weapon, a favorite of bards and mages. It is similar to a dagger in form, but instead of a straight piercing blade it is a curved crescent slashing blade. Such blades are almost always coated with poison, for though they are easy to conceal and quick they deal little damage. Note that this weapon was created BEFORE the Official TSR version, the Bard's Friend.
